Six British riders will be crossing the waters for international competitions this bank holiday weekend.

Over in the Netherlands, five of the six Brits will be contesting at Roosendaal CDI3*/U25, 25 -26 May.

Competing at big tour level in the Grand Prix and Special will be Hannah Biggs and her stallion Weltzin along with Kay Maxted and her 16 year old Gribaldi gelding, Privaldi.

Kay and Privaldi will have travelled to Roosendaal directly from their last competition on the continent at Vidauban CDIO*.

Hannah and Weltzin return to international competition following amazing form just over a week ago at Hamburg CDI4*, where the pair took second place for the final amongst a strong line up in a hotly contested Special.

It will be stallions for the small tour with Lesley Peyton Gilbert and Woodcroft Garuda K and Mary Pritchard with Unison R.

This will be the first time Mary has competed her 12 year old grey by Democraat abroad and it will be a return to his homeland for the horse that was born in the Netherlands.

Lesley and Woodcroft Garuda K, who came third in the PSG Music Freestyle at the Winter Championships, have only competed together internationally once before – at Drachten CDI3* in January 2013 where they came 14th and 4th in the Prix St Georges and Inter I respectively.

21 year old Bobby Hayler (daughter of Paul Hayler) will be joining Hannah, Kay, Mary and Lesley at Roosendaal to compete in the Under 25 Grand Prix class. She will ride two horses; Luderitz and Aldborough Rubinhall, both of which are owned by her parents.

Bobby last rode 14 year old Luderitz internationally at Saumur CDI3* in April 2012 where they came eighth in the Grand Prix Under 25 class.

She hasn’t posted any competitons with the eleven year old stallion Aldborough Rubinhall since October 2011, when the pair came 12th in the FEI Young Rider Individual test at Biarritz CDI. Since then he has been ridden by her father Paul and last competed in December 2012 at Bury Farm High Profile Show, where he came 7th with a score of 64.26%.

The sixth Brit abroad will be Wiltshire based Anna Ross-Davies (pictured) who will be taking her ride Pegasus MK to Lipica CDI (SLO) for the big tour classes, 24 – 26 May.

Anna has had great international form with the 16 year old gelding this year, having posted second and third placings across all of her Grand Prix classes at the Sunshine Tour CDI3* back in January/February, followed by fifth place in the Grand Prix at Stadl Paura in March.
