British Dressage is the national governing body of the sport of dressage in the UK. There has never been a more exciting time to join the team at British Dressage. The sport is enjoying a public profile like never before, with a growing membership of almost 16,000 plus a further 40,000 registered supporters. British Dressage has big plans for the future and is looking to recruit for this important role of Membership and Horse Registration Officer within the membership team to continue our success story.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, proactive and positive person, with excellent administrative and customer service skills, to help us develop and enhance our service to members. This will be a full time role based at our head office in Meriden, near Coventry.
Reporting to the Head of Membership, this role requires the individual to deliver the administration of membership and be a central point of contact for all members of British Dressage. Providing excellent customer service at all times is vital, so you will need to demonstrate experience of working in a busy administration role and be able to multi-task effectively.
The successful candidate will need to be highly personable, friendly, approachable and calm under pressure, with the ability to provide creative solutions that will encourage new members to join, as well as existing members to renew, in a category that is relevant for their requirements.
You will be an effective team player, but equally adept at working independently when required, and have a good knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook. An interest in dressage or equestrian sports would be an advantage, but is not essential.
Working hours: 9.00am – 5.00pm, Monday to Friday inclusive. Some weekend and/or evening work may be required occasionally.
Salary: c. £17,000 per annum.
