It is with great sadness that British Dressage announces the passing of longstanding List 2 judge, Margot Tiffany on Thursday 9 April.

Margot, from Northallerton in Yorkshire, has worked throughout her life teaching and helping riders of all types, from competition to leisure riders alongside her judging commitments.

Margot was an exemplary ambassador for our sport, promoting goodwill and collaboration across the equestrian community. Margot also held the British Horse Society Instructors certificate, had been a BHS examiner for many years and, in 2012, received the prestigious Bodynfoel Award for excellent service in promoting the work of the BHS.

BD Northern RDO, Sarah Huntridge spoke about what Margot brought to the region and dressage as a whole: “Margot inspired so many people to pursue their goals through her knowledge, expertise and understanding of dressage. She was a very warm hearted individual who gave so much of her time to many riders. She will be deeply missed by our members and the equestrian community. I will remember her by her wonderful smile.”

British Dressage offers sincere condolences to Margot’s family and friends.
