The second Premier League fixture of 2014 kicks off tomorrow at The College Equestrian Centre at Keysoe (25 – 27 Apr) and with the competition start list littered with dressage’s top names and combinations, it promises to be a must-see!
Crowd favourite, Michael Eilberg will be making an appearance at Keysoe with Ferdi Eilberg’s hotly anticipated Oldenberg De Niro stallion, Der Designer. With two competitions and two wins under their belt, both scoring no less than 78%, the duo will be looking to make it a third consecutive win in the Suregrow Fertiliser Advanced Medium tomorrow (25 Apr).
Friday’s LeMieux Grand Prix sees Michael and his second ride of the competition, Ferdi’s 14-year-old Latvian gelding, Marakov (pictured), compete against the likes of Roland Tong with Sarah Wrigley’s Pompidou, Henriette Andersen with her own and Jennifer Charlesworth’s Warlocks Charm and Sophie Wells with Jacqueline Walker’s Pinocchio for the top spot.
The Premier League competition climaxes on Saturday night as Roland Tong, Rebecca Hughes and Jacky Stolper will be among those pumping the volume and aiming to get the crowd on their feet in the Grand Prix Freestyle.
Other big names appearing over the course of the three day competition include Spencer Wilton, the Huttons; Pammy, Charlie and his new wife Abigail, Rebecca Hughes, Fiona Bigwood and Steph Croxford to name a few. Combine this with top notch catering facilities and great on site shopping, it’s a perfect weekend visit for all dressage enthusiasts.
