Four of Britain’s top riders have travelled with their equine counterparts to Germany for the annual Horses & Dreams competition (CDI4*) hosted at Hof Kasselman in Hagen (23 – 26 Apr). With a different theme each year, 2014 sees the competition take inspiration from the impending 2016 Olympics in Rio as Horses & Dreams meets Brazil.
Hagen marks the first international outing in 2014 for one of our four Brits currently en route to the competition, Gareth Hughes and his ride of three years, Jane Brewin’s 16-year-old Donnerschlag mare DV Stenkjers Nadonna, will be competing in the big tour alongside fellow Brit rider Nikki Crisp and her own 17-year-old KWPN mare, Pasoa.
Fresh from their stint at Stadl Paura CDI in Austria, Emma Hindle and her 15-year-old stallion, Chequille, make the short trip across the border to Hagen to compete against Gareth and Nikki in the big tour classes.
GBR’s final competitor, Daniel Sherriff and his own 15-year-old Westphalian stallion, Bayford Hall Dallaglio, are also looking to make their mark in the big tour, which kicks off tomorrow (25 Apr) with the Grand Prix – the qualifier for the following day’s Grand Prix Special.
