Hartpury College (in conjunction with the British Equestrian Federation, British Dressage and British Eventing) wish to recruit assessor/mentors for the new Advanced Apprenticeship in Sporting Excellence (AASE) programme.
The AASE programme is designed to meet the needs of promising young athletes, aged between 16 – 19 years, who aim to achieve excellence in their sport and gain qualifications at the same time.
With discipline specific roles available, the focus of the AASE mentor/assessor role is to advise, encourage and support promising young athletes in achieving their full potential to become elite riders in equestrian sport.
With flexible part time hours and a competitive salary, the main duties of the role will include
> providing support and guidance to apprentices, their parents and other supporters
in a variety of locations
> producing individual planning, performance profiling and goal setting
> monitoring and assessment of apprentices in their training environments
> tracking of apprentices progress, to include progress meetings and assessment
visits
> reporting back on apprentice progress
The dressage specific role would ideally suit somebody who has experience at an International level, but who is also truly passionate about sharing their knowledge and experience with all the personal and communication skills that make for a great mentor.
