Riders from all corners of the UK are heading to Addington Manor in Buckinghamshire for the venue’s 2016 Premier League Show this weekend (6-8 May 2016). Spectators can expect three days of high-quality dressage from young horse and pony championship qualifiers through to the heights of Grand Prix.

The show gets underway today with the Hickstead British Young Dressage Horse qualifiers for five and six-year-olds, Small Tour and Inter II.

The young horse line-ups include Charlotte Dujardin with her 2015 Shearwater five-year-old Champion, Florentina, and Bryony Goodwin with Hawtins Duchessa (pictured ridden by Amy Woodhead in  2015), who won the four-year-old equivalent. Both age categories however are over-flowing with horsepower so the competition is sure to be hot!

Over the course of the weekend, many familiar faces can be seen in classes from Advanced Medium upwards. And the FEI level classes are red hot with high-calibre riders such as Emile Faurie and Michael Eilberg having rides at both Small Tour and in the 26-strong Grand Prix.

Sunday features the first of the Shearwater Young Pony Championship qualifiers plus star-studded Shearwater Young Horse qualifiers and crowd-pleasing freestyles, providing another great day for dressage fans.

There’s action from 08.00 each day and of course Addington is renowned for its great hospitality and catering so you won’t go thirsty or hungry!
