Since the start of the year we have been contacted by a number of members about the training camps to be held at Addington in March and Wellington in June under the banner of Central Dressage, questioning whether or not this is official BD activity.
To clarify, Central Dressage is not connected to British Dressage in any way – and we are not involved in running these events, which have been privately organised. The same applies to other training activity or clinics that are currently being promoted by Central Dressage. Although this organisation has been set up by a former RDO, there is no association between Central Dressage and BD and therefore you should please note that this activity does not count towards your regional training record.
We appreciate that this has caused some confusion for British Dressage members, but full details of our official camps and training activity are available on the Central Region pages of the British Dressage website and the Central Region Facebook page.
In the meantime, please do contact Laura Aitken (email), Central RDO, or Harry Payne (email), Chairman for the Central Region, if you have any further questions. Our fantastic committee are also always on hand to help and support Central Region members at any time. As a reminder, your Committee Representatives are as follows:
RDO: Laura Aitken
Chair: Harry Payne
Para Rep: Karen Rawlins - email
BYRDS Rep: Jo Swain - email
Judges Rep: Jenny Welham - email
Coaches Rep:Jenny Ward - email
Senior Training Rep: Jane Imbush - email
Sr.Training Development:Jane McWilliam (test riding, psychology etc) - email
We would like to take this opportunity to thank all of our members, particularly those in the Central Region, for their ongoing support and contribution to British Dressage.
