There is just one week left until applications close for the 2013/2014 EDP programme. The Equine Pathway seeks to identify and support world class horses who have the perceived potential to develop into medal winning horses and compete for Great Britain on the world stage.
The new look Dressage Pathway programme will allow the UK Sport funded World Class Programme to support and encourage access towards additional training sessions with a home coach, nominated by the owner/athlete. Horses accepted onto the pathway will also be benchmarked at selection through test riding by two international selectors - a judge and a rider. For those selected onto the pathway, progress will be measured against those benchmarks at bi-annual Assessment Days.
The selection process, which follows three stages, is currently open and applications must be completed and returned by Thursday 18 April 2013, with this year's dressage viewing day taking place on Tuesday 7 May 2013.
