British Equestrian Federation Local Business Growth Officers
We are seeking three committed, focussed individuals to work within three carefully chosen regions to deliver business growth opportunities in equestrian sport. The regions are:
• South East - Surrey,
• South West – Avon
• West Midlands – Warwickshire / Birmingham
Through the BEF’s Hoof legacy brand, Hoof Regional Networks and Hoof products such as ‘Take Back the Reins’ you will work with the BEF team and Member Bodies to support equestrian businesses, centres and riding schools to improve standards, sustain existing riders and attract new people to the sport. A customer - centred approach is important as is the ability to effectively monitor and evaluate the success. You will feedback data and case study material to BEF head office, gathering product and customer insight and enabling us to report the growth of the sport in these areas to our funders Sport England.
Knowledge of the Equestrian world and a positive attitude to all aspects of equestrian participation, including recreational riding, is essential; as is a willingness, enthusiasm and energy to be prepared to overcome challenges. An understanding of brand management, including a focus and attention to detail in product placement will be advantageous – this will include measuring performance and evaluating and communicating success. The ability to be a team player but also work on your own initiative and under pressure is an essential part of the job.
These are full time roles based in the relevant regions.
British Equestrian Federation Hoof Marketing & Communications Officer
We are seeking a creative and resourceful Marketing and Communications officer with proven industry experience to promote the BEF’s Hoof legacy brand, Hoof Regional Networks and Hoof products such as ‘Take Back the Reins’. This will be achieved in partnership with the BEF participation team, Member Bodies and equestrian businesses through regular communication with Hoof Network members, potential participants and the media.
You will take a lead role in the design and marketing of products, tools and campaigns to drive participation and in the development of the Hoof website/online presence. The successful candidate will manage the BEF’s Hoof portal content as a tool through which to grow participation and share news of projects and products. Excellent copywriting ability, good communication skills and a thorough understanding of web technologies and the online media industry are crucial to this post.

This is a full time role based at BEF head office near Kenilworth.
