For the first time in British Dressage National Convention history, this year’s host, Helen Langehanenberg has announced she will be riding BD members’ horses at this year’s event (8 – 9 November 2014 at Hartpury College, Gloucestershire).

Helen will be mounting young rider, Olivia Oakeley’s 13-year-old Dimaggio gelding, Donna Summer. Successfully competed internationally in young rider classes and, most recently, placed third in the Saracen Horse Feeds Inter I Freestyle championship at the LeMieux National Dressage Championships in September, Helen will be riding Donna Summer – or Rio as he’s known at home – for the first time in front of the National Convention crowd to help demonstrate her training methods on the Saturday (8 November).

On the Sunday, WEG individual silver medallist, Helen will be trading Rio for Julie Lockey’s 12-year-old Belgian mare, Caluna. Competing at grand prix with Hannah and Becky Moody, Caluna has enjoyed great success nationally and will assist Helen in illustrating the more advanced movements.

A must-see event for every type of dressage enthusiast, tickets can be purchased via the BD Shop or via Claire Carter on 0247 669 8833.
