Five British riders have crossed the channel to compete at Deauville CDI in the Normandy region of France.
Three riders will contest the big tour; Kay Maxted with Privaldi, her 17-year-old KWPN gelding by Gribaldi; Lesley Peyton-Gilbert with Garuda K, Timothy Harris’s 13-year-old Trakehner stallion by Muenchhausen; and Daniel Sherriff with his stallion, Bayford Hall Dallaglio, a 15-year-old Westfalian by Laurentianer.
Britain also has one representative apiece for the small tour and under-25s grand prix. Young rider Lucy Fallen (23) will compete in the small tour. Lucy rides Nurejev, Adele Rawlinson’s 19-year-old KWPN gelding by Wolfgang, whilst Bobby Hayler (22) will compete in the under-25s grand prix classes. Bobby rides Aldborough Rubenhall (pictured), Paul Hayler’s 12-year-old stallion by Rubioso N.
