Entries are now open for this year’s prestigious Young Professional’s Award!

Open to dressage enthusiasts of all shapes and sizes, the Young Professionals Award (YPA) aims to find talented individuals who are aiming towards a professional career in riding, coaching, producing or yard management. It’s not necessarily about finding the next Charlotte Dujardin, it’s about finding those with the dedication, talent and essential qualities needed to be the complete professional.

Three interactive training days will be held in October 2014 for shortlisted applicants with either Richard Davison, Dan Sherriff or Hannah and Becky Moody, where they will be assessed both in the saddle and on the ground.

Six participants will then go forward to the final at Talland in March 2015, contending for the YPA title and the custom-made package of opportunities that is also up for grabs. There will also be two runner-up prizes, with a total prize fund of over £7,000!

Newly crowned 2013 YPA winner, Amy Woodhead, thoroughly enjoyed her experience and has great plans for the future; “What an amazing day [it was] – I really enjoyed it. I came with a plan to just be myself and take it all in. Three years ago, I put a plan together with my sister Holly of where we wanted to be and [the YPA] will certainly help me reach my goals”. Amy won a £4,000 grant from Core Context Consulting Ltd and a double bridle from the Worshipful Company of Saddlers.

Closing date for entries is 15 August 2014. To learn more about this year’s Young Professional Award, click here to view the 2014 YPA poster.
