Election of Directors for 2014

The following Directors are required by the BD Articles of Association to stand down at the next AGM in September:

David Hunt – retires as Training Director
Marketing Director - role is vacant
Maggie Copus retires but is eligible for re-election as Finance Director

This notice is being posted as required under Article 18.6 of our Memorandum and Articles of Association to invite anyone wishing to stand for election to the four roles, to request a nomination paper from the Chief Executive and return it completed to the office by 3 May 2014. The elections will be voted on by electronic ballot to take place before the AGM. Details of the nominees, including any candidates who are nominated by the Board of British Dressage under article 18.5.2 of our Articles of Association, will appear in British Dressage Magazine and on the website.

Under our constitution BYRDS Director, Janet Horswill was deemed to have resigned at the 2013 AGM, having completed her term of office. She was due to stand for re-election, as our normal policy is to invite the members to consider all such re-appointments, but this was omitted from the agenda in error. In those circumstances our Articles of Association provide that she was deemed to have been automatically re-elected for a further three year term, effective from the 2013 AGM. We apologise for this error.
