BD is looking to recruit two new voluntary regional Chairmen/women. The right people for these roles will be keen to help deliver and develop dressage in their region. They will be responsible, approachable, enthusiastic, diplomatic and ideally live within their region (North West – Lancashire, Cheshire, Shropshire, Staffordshire, Worcestershire, Herefordshire, West Midlands, Isle of Man; Central – Northamptonshire, Warwickshire, Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Berkshire, Hampshire).
This important role will involve leading the committee of regional representatives and working closely with the Regional Development Officer to deliver BD activity as agreed by the technical committees. You will ensure that members in your region have access to good quality training, competitions and activities to help them get the most out of their sport and to ensure that their views and needs are represented throughout BD.
You will be supported directly by the BD Chief Executive, the RDO and the Regional Committee. The post is voluntary, but expenses to attend meetings will be paid.
A dressage background and prior involvement with BD (judge / trainer / organiser / rider / owner) are important, as is the ability to support, motivate and lead the Regional Committee.
