A year ago today, dressage in Britain changed forever!

Today marks the year anniversary when Charlotte Dujardin, Carl Hester and Laura Tomlinson (then Bechtolsheimer) changed dressage in Britain with an Olympic team gold medal at London. With their horses, Valegro, Uthopia and Mistal Hojris, they put dressage on the map, won over a completely new legion of fans and put our sport in every major newspaper in the country - we've never seen the like.

Buoyed by the showjumping team's gold the day before, the trio headed into the Special day with the narrowest of margins - just a lead of 0.56% over Germany.  It was a clash of the titans beneath the Queen's House at Greenwich in front of a capacity 23,000 audience and Britain came out on top.

The three riders along with their support staff, owners, grooms with the backing of the UK Sport lottery-funded World Class Performance team, showed that Britain is a true force to be reckoned with in the dressage world.

Thank you to you all - we're all eagerly awaiting the European Championships in a few weeks!
