Two up and coming British riders have been given the chance of a life-time to compete alongside their senior counter parts in the CDIU25 at the Herning European Championships in Denmark (19 – 25 August 2012). Emily Cousins and Samantha Thurman-Baker have been given the nod to compete and will make the trip with the British Senior team of Carl Hester, Laura Tomlinson, Charlotte Dujardin and Michael Eilberg.

Emily Cousins’ partner will be her mother Elaine’s Solo Bachelorette who she’s ridden since 2006. They were winners of the U25 Grand Prix at Somerford Premier League in May and have some 70%+ scores at Grand Prix.

World Class Development rider Samantha Thurman-Baker, fresh from the Young Rider European Championships, will ride her own long term partner Spring Pascal (pictured). The fiery but ever so talented British-bred took the Grand Prix class at Hartpury Premier League by storm, wining on 69.23% and were second at Hickstead Premier League with 72%+.

The two will contest the FEI Intermediate II on 21 August and on to Grand Prix on 23 August.
