Dressage stars are heading to this year’s Liverpool International Horse Show (29 - 31 December 2017), to provide a feast of sport and entertainment.

Fans of the 'dancing horses' can enjoy watching top competitors in action, whilst soaking up the sheer elegance of the sport in the magical Echo Arena venue, decked out in festive and New Year glamour.

New to the 2017 Liverpool International Horse Show, dressage will take place on the Friday evening, December 29, with a host of leading names making their way to the iconic waterfront arena.

This new addition will see an Intermediate I Freestyle class on the Friday evening session with leading horses and riders dancing the night away to their chosen music.

Liverpool International Horse Show President, Nina Barbour, said: “We are really looking forward to adding dressage to our busy show schedule at The Liverpool International Horse Show.

“Dressage is now such a popular sport and the Inter I Freestyle will work brilliantly in what is fast becoming a much sought-after arena to ride and compete in at The Echo Arena.”

Jason Brautigam, Chief Executive of British Dressage added: “Following a successful first CDI at Bolesworth International in June, the welcome addition of dressage to the programme at the Liverpool International Horse Show is fantastic news for our sport.

“We are immensely grateful to Nina and her team for including this exciting invitational class in their plans for the 2017 show and we’re very much looking forward to giving the crowd a real taste of top class dressage, showcasing some of our best riders, as well as up and coming equine stars of the future.”
