With the 2018 Petplan Equine Area Festivals underway, British Dressage has a few points which we’d like to offer some clarification on. We hope that everyone taking part enjoys their Festival experience and wish you the best of luck!
Structure
• Round 1 – Area Festivals
• Round 2 – Area Festival Finals
• Round 3 – Area Festival Championships
Qualification
• There will be a lower limit qualifying percentage from the Area Festivals to the Area Festival Finals rounds:
- Prelim – Elementary: 62%
- Medium – Intermediate II: 60%
• Riders placed in the top 10 Prelim – Advanced Medium and top five PSG – Intermediate II, regardless of numbers in the classes and providing they meet the minimum percentage will progress from the Area Festivals to the Area Festival Finals.
• If required, wild card places at Area Festival Finals will be given, with scores in percentage order, from all of the Area Festivals.
Late entries – Area Festivals
• The close of entries will remain as stated in the show schedule, however venues may continue to take late entries. Competitors must still have gained their score sheets at the original close of entries for the Area Festivals.
Island riders
• Providing the competitor has a registered home address on one of the islands, the requirement for qualification has been expanded to cover:
- Prelim to Elementary – one on island and one mainland
- Medium to Inter II - this can be gained on the mainland.
