Last weekend Vale View Equestrian hosted a feast of Para Dressage with nine teams making the trip to the Para Home International. With the theme being ‘Best of British’ this year, it was a great showcase of our riders from far and wide and gave all grades and levels the opportunity to shine as well as giving everyone the chance to dress-up for the opening ceremony! There were soldiers, Paul Hollywood, Mary Berry and even a dog dressed as Winston Churchill!

Eastern region fielded two teams, kindly supported by CU Phosco Lighting, and led from post to post with Eastern Phoscos leading at the end of day one and Eastern CU Lighting finally securing victory in a very close contest!

The Eastern Region was supported by their Regional Chair Lotte Olsen and Para Rep Joanne Dagley Cleworth who did a wonderful job swap – not only supported her region but rode on the fifith placed Eastern Phosco team!

The winning team of Jason Marques (Grade 1) Natalie South (Grade3) Georgina Maton (Grade 5) and Amanda Shirtcliffe (Grade 3) just pipped South West Belles to victory

Super proud regional chair Lotte Olsen said; “Our two Para HI teams have really done well. The weekend started with the opening ceremony with a best of British theme Our great British Bake Off effort including our very own Paul and Mary and snacks for every region - Yorkshire puds, Cornish pasties and many more! Plus our riders were amazing – thanks to Jason Marques, Kirby Brown, Natalie South, Sophie Lingfield, Georgina Maton, Amanda Shirtcliffe, Adrian Hare and Joanne Dagley-Clewor!”
