Nathalie Kayal was on top form at Myerscough Premier League in Lancashire (1 – 5 March 2017), winning not one but two Prix St Georges level classes, in addition to Saturday’s Inter I Freestyle.

The 33-year-old from Beaconsfield dominated Friday’s Fairfax Saddles Prix St Georges with two assured performances on her lovely horses. Her ride for the top spot was the 12-year-old bay DHI Homerun (pictured) who scored 70.61% and, not to be outdone, DHI Bravo did himself proud too. The KWPN grey was awarded 69.69%, less than one percent adrift of his stable mate to achieve second place in the high class field.

Continuing her winning ways, on Saturday Nathalie won two FEI Freestyle tests with both her geldings on plus-73% scores. She partnered DHI Bravo, the 2016 Magic PSG Freestyle reserve champion, to win the PSG Freestyle and with DHI Homerun she pocketed the Inter I Freestyle.

Robyn Smith (20) made the journey from Glasgow a rewarding one as she won two classes – the Equine Construction Advanced Medium with nine-year Florencio I stallion, Francesco 77, and Thursday’s Fairfax Saddles Prix St Georges with her 2016 Young Rider European Championships partner, Foold Uz.

The new combination of Anya Kolleth and British pony star SL Lucci maintained their unbeaten record with victory in the FEI Pony Team test on a score of 73.08%, much to the delight of his rider; “Lucci was feeling on great form today at Myerscough College for our first Premier League together. We came away with a score of 73.08% and a win. Looking forward to developing our partnership further throughout the coming season!”

Becky Moody and 10-year-old Painted Black son Carinsio were unanimous winners of the LeMieux Grand Prix, their first win on only their third start at the level, whilst Steph Croxford and her part Hackney-part Dutch 12-year-old, Mr Hyde, took the Grand Prix Freestyle.
