Riders entered for Addington Premier League fixture will be keeping their fingers crossed that the sunny weather can hold on for just a few more days whilst the show is underway at the Buckinghamshire venue (10 – 12 May).
For those who can make it, the show will be well worth a visit with plenty of exciting combinations appearing on the starter lists.
Perhaps most exciting for younger fans will be names such as Phoebe Peters, Georgia Davis and Chloe Vell – all of whom have not long returned to the UK from massive successes at Saumur CDI3*, including an historic Junior Nations Cup win.
Plenty of winning combinations from Keysoe Premier League just two weeks ago will be out again contesting - including Genevieve Walters, Spencer Wilton, Gareth Hughes, Matt Frost and Peter Storr.
Also fresh from Saumur success will be Carl Hester riding in Sunday’s Grand Prix on Lady Anne Evan’s 16.3hh grey gelding, Merlin Nemorensis (pictured). This will be Carl and ‘Nemo’s’ fifth Grand Prix together since Carl took over the ride from Charlie Hutton back in 2011.
There will be two music classes – the Advanced Medium FSM and PSG FSM, both taking place on Sunday afternoon. In the PSG music class Gloucestershire based rider Maria Griffin will be going twice - on Adrian Baker’s D-J and then Kassio. Maria is becoming a more familiar face at Small Tour level and has had a successful 2013 so far - with plenty of first placings on both horses, and a successful Winter Championships with a 3rd on D-J in the Advanced Medium FSM. This will be the first time she has ridden either horse to music at PSG.
