Michael Eilberg and the talented young mare Half Moon Delphi (pictured) won the grand prix and an intermediate II qualifiers at the Vale View High Profile Show, Leicestershire, 8 – 10 November 2012.

Michael rode Jon and Julie Deverill’ attractive Dimaggio-sired grey to score plus-72% at both levels, once again demonstrating the mare’s ability for grand prix. The athletic, much-admired 10-year-old competed in her first grand prix little more than 12 months ago and has since shown great potential both at home and abroad. Michael and Delphi’s notable performances include top three placings at Hartpury CDI and Rotterdam CDIO, and a grand prix special victory at Vidauban CDI.

The runner-up position was filled by Judy Harvey and Fitzcerraldo, Richard Heley’s 14-year-old gelding by Feuerbrand. This established partnership, which won the grand prix special at Somerford Premier League earlier in the year, produced an assured test for 69.89%.

The three day show saw the debut of an exciting new partnership in Gareth Hughes and Aramis T, Judy Firmston-Williams’ elegant 10-year-old German-bred mare. They headed both prix st georges qualifiers with scores of 72.03% and 72.43% and look to have an exciting future.

The highest percentage of the show went to Phoebe Peters (13) and her 2012 Pony European Championships partner, SL Lucci, a 10-year-old Danish-bred gelding by Lukas. The pair stamped its authority by winning the Pony section in all three FEI under-21 pick-your-own tests including a 77.56% victory in the Pony Individual.
